Major Moscow's Attacks Disrupt Electricity Throughout Kyiv

Energy infrastructure under attack in the region
The country's energy systems have come under escalating attacks in the past few days

Overnight, Russian aerial assaults have caused power cuts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were hurt while inhabitants in eastern districts were left without electricity and dealt with problems to water systems, according to municipal leaders.

Meanwhile, a seven-year-old child was fatally injured in a separate Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia area in the country's south-east, according to local officials.

Moscow has escalated assaults on energy facilities over the past few days, while Ukrainian leadership has demanded "substantial measures" from international partners to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not window dressing but strong steps - from the United States, European nations and the major economies - in supplying air defence systems and enforcing sanctions," he wrote in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and over thirty projectiles struck Ukraine's energy infrastructure, characterizing such attacks as "strategic and deliberate" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Russia was "conducting extensive attacks" and repair crews were striving to repair systems.

A wave of strikes hit power facilities and civilian homes in the capital.

Multiple people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, as confirmed by municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the metropolitan region came under intense attacks overnight. A young boy lost their life and several individuals were wounded.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, sections of which are occupied by Russian forces.

All of Ukraine is in a state of readiness for sophisticated projectile assaults, which are harder to spot.

National leaders told the media that Moscow was intentionally trying to demolish the electrical infrastructure, with attacks already impacting fuel infrastructure.

Officials stated energy workers and officials were preparing for additional strikes.
